Before there was money, there was trade. This for that. Somewhere along the way, people started to accept paper printed and distributed through authorized banks as a means to keep track and stabilize all the IOU’s.
Epidemics, war, global warming, natural disasters all put money into perspective. Under extreme conditions, survival becomes top priority and making some guy rich by slaving away inverts to the bottom of the heap.
This may happen never, once, many times, temporarily or permanently.
