Tesla + Samsung Sitting in a Tree
July 13th, 2021Today we get an announcement that Samsung will provide cameras for Cybertruck.
Whether that is true or not, it is true that a relationship exists between Tesla and Samsung that exemplifies trust at the highest level.
At Tesla Autonomy Day when asked where are you fabbing the FSD computer? Elon shrugged as though it wasn't top secret and replied "Samsung".
"Samsung?" asked the questioner. "Yes. Austin Texas." Replies Pete Bannon.
So Tesla is trusting Samsung with the fabrication of Teslas FSD computer.
This is a really big deal. It means Tesla is effectively granting Samsung root access to every device they have. And with root access to a computer that can see the world, learn, improve and eventually master, what tasks could you accomplish?
